Composition is a work to musically express the human psyche and soul by making a harmonious piece of music through the arrangement of scales and the adjustment of dynamics and tempo. The Department of Composition aims to nurture creative musicians who will lead the 21st century, enhance the level of cultural arts, aestetics, new media and enrich life.
Purpose of the education set by division of composition is to cultivate artists of global culture equipped with proactive creative thinking and professionality. Also, it is to cultivate social leaders who can understand the meaning of music in multi-faceted perspective, and to cultivate professionals with artisan spirit by developing Korean traditional aesthetics, new media technology, thinking for human spirit, creative expression for new flatform, and professional artisticism.
